Introducing a new destination for your “designed in Taiwan” souvenir needs. Now open at Songshan Cultural & Creative Park is Design Pin – an impressive retail store that showcases Taiwanese and Japanese-designed products. Many of the projects are winners of either Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award or Japan’s Good Design Award.
Renovation of the retail space was lead by Yu Yamada, founder of Japan’s famed retail consultancy, Method Inc. Design Pin is Yamada’s first project outside of Japan and he hopes the experience will lead to more overseas projects for his company.
You can visit the store at Songshan Cultural & Creative Park. It’s open Monday to Sunday, 9.30am to 5.30pm. In stock right now are products from local designers including: Just Mobile, LUCKYRICE, urban prefer, TALES, Xcellent Lighting, Afterain Design, Carpenter, hesxhers group, Sitpls, studio if, Kenyon Yeh, haoshi design, DHH studio, and KIMU Design.
It’s really great to see a retail outlet created specifically to support local designers.
