Kenyon Yeh is a Taiwanese product designer who graduated Kingston University in London with a Master of Product Design degree. He now lives and works in Taipei where he runs a design studio named Esaila.

Esaila is a contemporary furniture and homewares brand that might not sound Taiwanese to you at first. It kind of sounds Spanish. But break it down to its three syllables – e-sai-la – and suddenly you’re saying the colloquial Taiwanese phrase for “可以” or “do-able”.

Esaila’s products have been featured by Dwell, Wallpaper, Surface, Marie Claire Maison, Kinfolk and they’re available globally — in Asia and Australia, the United States and throughout Europe.

Kenyon’s designs have also been produced by well-known design houses like Menu and Boila in Denmark, and Harto in France.

You can see a lot of Kenyon’s products at the Haus Collection boutiques inside Eslite in Xinyi and Songyen. Or you can buy directly online from the Esaila shop.

If I had to pick, I’d take the Lipa side tables and some Pushpin stools. And if I won the lottery, I’d install an entire wall of the Heavystock shelves.
